Blood and Holly

Ok, so after SciFi had their bout of Stargate and all, a film started up with a clearly low-budget camera affair. It's about on par with the Outer Limits (new O.L. and not the b&w old O.L.) or those other Canadian "Crime Time after Prime Time" type shows (be it Forever Knight, be it Nightmare on Elm Street: The Series). Anyway, in just the first ten minutes, I've cited oodles of folks from other SF series (a lab tech from Stargate, Dualla from BSG, one of the aliens from Roswell, etc..).

It's Carrie.
It's a 2002 Carrie.
Somewhere, castevet is crying.

In other news, I saw that film, Elf, the other night. I liked Bob Newhart (no big surprise), I didn't mind Zooey Deschanel for as long as she remained snarky, and well... I was reminded just how much I dislike Will Ferrell.

Edit to Add: It's actually not as bad as I thought it'd be. Unlike in the original, I actually rather like Carrie, herself.
