In similar news, an interesting little experiment came to mind the other day when NPR was talking about how it was 40 years ago today (well..that day) that Sgt.Pepper came out: You know that "Bigger than Jesus" line from John Lennon? It'd be interesting to poll random folks on the street and present them with two challenges.
1) Can you quote a line from the New Testament, at least 10 words long?..and see how they match up. At first I was thinking not limiting it to just the New Testament but just the Bible in general, but that doesn't really fit with the Jesus-part of John's quote. And quite frankly, when I thought about the limit of having it just be NT? ...I could only come up with -one- 10+ word quote from it. And I can't even remember what that 10+ word quote was!!
2) Can you quote a line from a Beatles' song, at least 10 words long?
Edit to Add: And I finally recalled what it was. For bonus-point sneakiness, I'll write it with white-on-white. Select between the asterisks so it'll appear (like magic!)
*Let he who is without sin cast the first stone*
Trouble is, it's exactly 10 words long. This is why I'm leaning towards 10+ and not just 10 (since this is a pretty well known one).
