It's beer! Hooray beer!

So there's this odd-tasting and oddly-named beer we recently picked up at work. I've one theory as to how it should be pronounced, and the distributer has another theory. Alas, it's looking like the distributer might be right.

For those who know their funky Euro accent marks, here's how it's written... éphémère ..I'm wont to pronounce it "eh-FEH-meh-ruh" (not unlike 'ephemeral' mixed with 'macabre'), but the distributer pronounces it "EHF-uh-meer" (like talking about an 'eff'n meercat', but dropping the -cat).

Any clues?
