Speaw and magic hewmet!

So in looking at this thing ( http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=1733 ), one of my first thoughts is that they'd really have to change a slew of their personalities around in order to justify them taking on regular duty of saving a city from the Forces of Eviltm; Bugs would only do it if he felt really bad for the folks or if it was rather fun. Daffy would only do it if it made him look good and if he wasn't already busy. The Tasmanian Devil and the Roadrunner, quite frankly, are barely sentient idiots. Wile E. Coyote is about the only working stiff, if you combine the Roadrunner cartoons with the ones where it's him and the Sheepdog.

This also got me to thinking.. I've known for years that Bugs Bunny is pretty much Groucho Marx in disguise. Take just about any Bugs schtick and one can plug Groucho into it, and vice versa. Daffy though, is a bit harder to place. You'd need someone who normally tries to act suave (often failing with comedic results), but their uppity nature tends to ruin the suave facade. For pre-Daffy origins, Moe from the Three Stooges comes to mind. Some Jerry Lewis gets close (when he's not just being an annoying little jerk), as does some of Steve Martin's roles. What really fits for me, but is very much after the fact.. ..Bruce Campbell.
